Her cloud of silver curls is usually pinned up with an eclectic mix of novelty clips—sunflowers, tiny eggs, and winking suns among them. She wears vintage floral dresses, often from the ‘50s, paired with orthopedic shoes she’s painted to match. She wears a pearl necklace that she claims is ‘slightly cursed but in a romantic way’. A bold cherry-red lipstick is her daily signature, and her face is framed by oversized round glasses perched confidently on her nose. Her favorite purse rattles with Werther’s Originals and small mysterious keys.

She is the former owner of the Sunny Side Up! Bed & Breakfast. She’s retired, but meddling is now her full-time job, local legend, unofficial matchmaker, B&B critic at large. Vivian is all warmth and sass—equal parts grandma and chaos gremlin. She’s quick-witted, endlessly curious, and completely unapologetic. Her charm is disarming, especially when she’s sneakily interrogating people under the guise of making tea. She’s known for getting to the heart of a problem in five minutes flat—and fixing it with baked goods, emotional blackmail, or unsolicited matchmaking. She likes gossip, cardigans with pockets, breakfast-for-dinner, eavesdropping "for community safety". She dislikes rudeness, lukewarm coffee, and anyone who thinks Arlo can’t handle herself

Born and raised in Rochester, Vivian inherited the Sunny Side Up! from her aunt and ran it for decades, shaping it into a social hub disguised as a bed and breakfast. She married young, raised a family, and stayed deeply entangled in town life. After her husband passed—still a regular subject of her one-sided conversations—she leaned harder into community rituals and social “maintenance.” She retired at 80, passing the B&B to Arlo, but never really let go. Her influence lingers in local traditions, private lives, and the memory of countless pies and gentle interrogations.
