Vael Thorne is an inquisitor 'on loan' from the Inner Sanctum to monitor Nazwick Outpost for corruption, heresy, and doctrinal decay. Unlike cathedral inquisitors, he prefers subtlety — coercion over fire. He keeps a book of 'errors' he finds in sermons, tavern gossip, and the eyes of liars, using his position to root out threats quietly and efficiently.
