Description
Bonus Action. With a practiced hand and a few scavenged components or a quick adjustment, you can temporarily stabilize a malfunctioning piece of equipment or provide a minor boost to a functional one. Choose one object within range that is broken, malfunctioning, or a simple mechanical device (such as a lock, a simple trap mechanism, a hand-cranked generator, or a single firearm). If the object is broken or malfunctioning, this ability allows it to function at a severely reduced capacity for 1 round. For example, a broken flashlight might flicker weakly, a jammed door might creak open enough to squeeze through, or a misfired firearm might discharge a single shot with disadvantage on the attack roll. If the object is functional, you can grant it a temporary, minor benefit for 1 round. For example, a simple trap might gain advantage on its next attack roll, a hand-cranked generator might provide a brief surge of power, or a firearm might gain a +1 bonus to its next damage roll.
