Black Dragon Gate, also known as the Landward Gate, is the grand northern entrance to Baldur's Gate, connecting the city's Upper City to the Outer City's Blackgate district. Dominating the northern wall of Baldur's Gate, the Black Dragon Gate is an imposing stone structure crowned by a massive sculpture of a black dragon's head, commemorating a legendary beast slain by a knight.
