Despite her infernal origins, she genuinely wants guests to have a “smooth descent.”

Originally a mercenary from Gehenna, Mizzelcryn took a side job escorting souls to various warlords in Avernus before deciding she liked the aesthetics of front desk work more than battlefield carnage. A particularly lucrative contract with the Maw's founder promised her one thing: “Stable hours and all the mortal confusion you can eat.” She now serves as both bellhop and designated memory extractor—helping guests “lighten their load” as they check in. Missy delights in plucking regrets and dreams from visitors, storing them in carefully labeled jars that she pretends are tips. She's formed a friendly rivalry with the front desk imp, constantly trying to one-up him by snatching the most potent memories. Her ultimate goal is to collect enough unique mortal experiences to build her own illusion-based soap opera: As the Soul Simmers.
