The Abyssal Expanse

A desolate wasteland where beings considered anomalous are sent upon being consumed by the Great Collapse. The air is thick with despair, and horrific monsters roam the ruins, preying on the lost souls that wander this eternal night. Here, random objects and ruins from the Great Collapse pepper the cosmic void of floating islands, suspended over a sea of ethereal liquid. Here, the only escape is death... which, once a sentient being dies here, they will be transported and revived at a Hearth Tree in one of the four Planes in the Eternal Eden, allowing them to awaken from this nightmarish place with anything they may have found.
