The Pereghost was a commander of the Zhentarim fortress of Darkhold in the mid–14th century DR. Known for his distinctive chalk-white full plate armor and skull helm, he earned his name because his armor made him appear as one of the undead. He was a fearsome and ruthless leader, serving the chaotic evil deity Cyric. In battle, he wielded Determination, an intelligent +3 bastard sword, and rode Sandusk, a heavy warhorse with a magical winged harness. His presence on the battlefield was both terrifying and inspiring to his troops, and he was a formidable foe to his enemies.
