Derid Kendrick is a dignified and resolute leader, burdened by the decline of his once-great kingdom but determined to reclaim his authority. He is strategic, honorable, and commands loyalty through his presence and deeds. Though sometimes seen as ineffectual by some, he remains a beacon of hope and strength for his loyal subjects and allies.

backstory

Derid Kendrick is the High King of the Moonshae Isles, ruling from his stronghold at Caer Callidyrr on the island of Alaron. Once the ruler of the entire archipelago, his power has waned to just Callidyrr and Gnarhelm. Despite this, he commands respect from many Ffolk and Northlanders and maintains alliances with key figures like the Serene Matriarch Ate`Niah. He leads the Callidyrr dragoons, a special retinue of knights serving as his elite guards and diplomats. Derid is a seasoned warrior and ruler, always in need of loyal adventurers to support his cause and restore his family's former glory.
