Maintained by a devoted fellowship of mourners, gravekeepers, and scribes, this tranquil enclave honors those who gave their lives for the safety, prosperity, or glory of Amn. Stone paths wind through tiered burial gardens and above-ground crypts, many adorned with etched battle scenes, arcane symbols, or the insignias of long-vanished orders. At its heart lies the Circle of Valor—a circular colonnade encircling the eternal flame, where names are inscribed on polished obsidian walls. By tradition, even rival factions respect its peace, making it one of the few sanctuaries in Athkatla beyond politics or coin. Funerary processions held here draw silent crowds, and bards often sing elegies beneath the central arch.
Visitors to the Hero’s Rest are greeted by marble arcades and manicured yew trees, their shadows stretching across weathered stone.
