Description

House Vandree, a once minor drow house, rose significantly to become the eighth house of Menzoberranzan and a member of the Ruling Council by 1480 DR. Located in a massive, walled compound resembling a ship's prow in the West Wall district, it is led by Matron Mother Fiirnel'ther Vandree. The house comprises 13 nobles, 8 house males, 150 drow soldiers, and 120 slaves. Known for its keen interest in Surface affairs and collection of trophies, House Vandree, while formally allied with House Baenre, is actively seeking to bolster its strength and diminish its dependence on the leading house.

Appearance

House Vandree's compound in the West Wall is a massive, formidable structure, its main walls extending eastward like a ship's prow. This imposing design hints at its ambition, while a more recent (though less prestigious) relocation to Duthcloim might suggest a tactical, if perplexing, maneuver. The house's exterior would likely reflect its fascination with the Surface, perhaps incorporating unusual textures or even salvaged materials from above, making it stand out among traditional drow architecture.
