Yet, this beauty masks a dark purpose: it is the prison of an eladrin army, trapped by the obyrith Pale Night, the Mother of Demons. Despite the Abyss's inherent evil, good-aligned creatures, including ki-rin, foo lions, moon dogs, hollyphants, and couatls, have invaded this layer, fiercely defending the captive eladrin and battling Pale Night's influence. This clash of good against the Abyss's chaotic evil has transformed Androlynne into a paradoxical realm, a pocket of resistance amidst the plane's infinite, shifting dangers, where the river Styx, or the River of Blood, still weaves its way through, a dark reminder of the surrounding demonic chaos.
