  • Factions: The Ashbinders’ Guild, The Thornbinders, The Mire Echoes

Lore:
Griefsmiths are emotional alchemists and spiritual blacksmiths from Kessereth, Skalenar, and Eldranly’s, who forge weapons and armor from condensed emotions like grief, rage, and joy, imbuing them with magical effects through heat resonance. They can absorb emotional residue to cleanse or empower and shape the ash of the dead into utility items, specializing into archetypes such as Emberblades, Ashbinders, and Sootchanters. Griefsmiths forge memory into metal. They do not believe in temporary enchantment, but permanent meaning. Every tool or weapon they wield is half artifact, half eulogy. They strike with the sorrow of old wars and wield grief like flame.

Core Abilities:

  • Soulbound Forge: Enhance or repair one item during a short rest, temporarily boosting its stats.

  • Echoweight Slam: Strike for bonus damage (Add 2D12 damage dice) against those who harmed allies.

  • Anvil Guard: While immobile, gain AC and advantage on Strength-based checks.

  • Battle Engraving: Carve into a weapon after a kill; next attack gains higher crit range.

Unique Feature:
Forge of Names – You may bind a crafted weapon to a memory shard. Its wielder becomes resistant to fear and despair while attuned.
