Soulmidwife
Soulmidwife
Role: Spirit Healer / Death Guide / Resurrector
Origin Regions: Lumensor, Eldraniu’s
Factions: The Whispered Path, The Emberleaf Conclave, The Cyclekeepers
Lore:
Soulmidwives are midwives of both death and rebirth. They tend to the spiritual wounds of Aeternum, guiding souls back into the Cycle or anchoring them to living bodies. Their words are hymns, and their touch releases pain. Even death respects a Soulmidwife’s plea. Soulmidwives are healers as well as ritualists who guide souls through the passage to the afterlife, ensuring they pass cleanly into the light to prevent spiritual fractures that could harm the world. They wield Memory Unweaving and Light Invocation magic to soothe and stabilize souls, escort spirits, link allies through Ancestral Threads, and channel Soullight to cleanse corruption and grief.
Abilities:
Rejoin the Cycle: Guide a fallen soul back to life (resurrection spell variant).
Liminal Breath: Stabilize dying creatures within a wide radius.
Echo Cradle: Bind a portion of a soul to an object to preserve it before death.
Cycle’s Embrace: Grant resistance to necrotic and psychic damage to nearby allies.
Unique Feature:
Dustwomb – A sacred relic used to preserve a soul in flux. Once per long rest, you may store a dying ally’s essence for up to 10 minutes to later restore it to a new body.
