A tall, muscular human male with a rugged face marked by scars and a perpetual five o'clock shadow. He wears a worn leather jacket over a dark shirt, heavy boots, and carries an air of menace. His eyes are sharp and calculating, with a hint of desperation.

Balthazar is brutish, desperate, and fiercely independent, with a volatile temper and a penchant for intimidation. He is haunted by his past failures but driven by a need to reclaim his status and power. He speaks bluntly and acts decisively, often disregarding subtlety or diplomacy.

Balthazar, originally Thomas Ewell, was once the Sheriff of Chicago, a position of power and respect. However, his brutish nature and reckless behavior led to his downfall. He squandered the wealth given to him by his patron Lodin and now finds himself without financial support. Desperate to maintain his decadent lifestyle, Balthazar seeks a new patron among the Kindred of Chicago. Without backing, he risks falling back into his old ways of raiding for wealth, a dangerous path that threatens to destabilize the fragile order of the city's vampire society. Many Kindred view him as a loose cannon, a potential threat that must be controlled or contained.
