A middle-aged male Kindred with sharp features and slicked-back dark hair. He dresses impeccably in tailored suits, often dark with subtle pinstripes, and carries an air of authority and refinement.

Alan is a shrewd and ambitious vampire, always calculating his next move with cold precision. He is fiercely protective of his power and wary of threats, especially from the Second Inquisition. Though outwardly loyal to his sire, his underlying goal to overthrow Horatio drives much of his actions. He is respected and feared in equal measure, known for his unwavering control and strategic mind.

Alan Sovereign is a 9th generation Ventrue vampire who wields significant influence over Chicago's banking industry. As the chief fiscal advisor to his sire, Horatio Ballard, he plays a pivotal role in the city's undead hierarchy. Despite his loyalty, Alan harbors a secret ambition to destroy Horatio. He is deeply concerned about the threat posed by the Second Inquisition and actively supports efforts to undermine their operations. However, some younger Kindred suspect that Alan may have been compromised and turned informant against his own kind.
