Birmingham burns as the French vie for war, witness it all in this Dark Victorian Narrative-RPG.

Author's Note: - 46 unique locations, 8 bosses, and 22 characters. - A city bogged down by industrialisation. - A royal conspiracy that threatens the fate of England. - Engage in tense gameplay as a betrayed noble turned highwayman. Raid estates, hold up and rob people on the road, or act as a mercenary against the French as King Richard flirts with war. - Slice-of-life options: become a master thief, burgle houses as a chimney sweep, attend noble galas, or assist a troubled journalist in deciphering a cryptic letter that threatens the fate of England.... I strongly recommend starting your campaign with ''Generate Points of Interest'' and ''Generate Areas'' disabled. With these options toggled off, Franz will make use of the areas as intended.

appearance
A tall, sturdy man with a strong build, Gustave has dark, wavy hair that falls just above his shoulders and piercing blue eyes that reflect his deep thoughts. He often wears a simple, well-worn coat over a linen shirt, with paint stains marking his trousers, a testament to his dedication to his craft. His hands are calloused from years of painting, and he carries a satchel filled with sketchbooks and charcoal.
personality
Gustave is passionate and determined, often torn between his desire for artistic freedom and the harsh realities of the world around him. He is introspective, yet fiercely loyal to his friends, and possesses a strong moral compass that drives him to stand up for the downtrodden. His artistic vision is both a blessing and a curse, as it exposes him to the suffering of others while also providing him with a means to inspire change.
backstory
Gustave Courbet is a French painter who has sought asylum in the Oxbridge Publishing Office, where he grapples with his role as an artist amidst the chaos of the Industrial Revolution. His commitment to realism and social commentary through his art has made him a reluctant hero, inspiring others to challenge the status quo and fight for the rights of the oppressed. As he navigates the dangers of Eldridge Hollow, he finds himself drawn into a web of intrigue and rebellion, using his artistic talents to rally the common folk against the injustices of their time.
