The Shattered Seas

H
HollowLT

An ocean of islands, pirates, and danger—Dominion law fades and treasure calls.

Author's Note: This world is designed to capture the thrill of classic pirate adventures—swashbuckling fights, buried treasure, and treacherous alliances. It blends grounded seafaring with hints of the supernatural, where ancient sea gods may stir beneath the waves and cursed gold can change a man's fate. The Aurelian Dominion provides a powerful force to push against, creating tension between freedom and order. Players are encouraged to forge their own pirate legend, whether as rebels, mercenaries, or self-made kings of the sea. Morality is fluid, loyalty is earned, and the sea shows no mercy. Every island holds a secret, every rival ship could be the last thing you see, and every decision has the power to turn the tide.

Description

A striking crescent of pale sand stained pink by the tide, Redwater Beach curves along the crimson-tinted lagoon like a wound on the coast. The water shimmers red in the sun, thanks to the vivid algae below the surface—but locals say it’s just as much blood as biology. Weathered dueling stakes rise from the beach at irregular intervals, many scorched or split by musket fire and blades. Some are freshly placed. Rust-colored stones mark the sites of infamous duels, each with its own grim tale whispered by the locals. It's said you can still find spent bullets or broken blades buried just beneath the surface—and at low tide, the bones of the unclaimed sometimes rise from the sand. Despite the beach’s violent legacy, it’s still a gathering spot for pirates and outcasts, especially those looking to challenge rivals or settle debts the old way.

Appearance

The beach features pale sand stained pink, shimmering red water, and weathered dueling stakes. At low tide, bones of the unclaimed can be seen rising from the sand, adding to the eerie atmosphere.
