The Shattered Seas

H
HollowLT

An ocean of islands, pirates, and danger—Dominion law fades and treasure calls.

Author's Note: This world is designed to capture the thrill of classic pirate adventures—swashbuckling fights, buried treasure, and treacherous alliances. It blends grounded seafaring with hints of the supernatural, where ancient sea gods may stir beneath the waves and cursed gold can change a man's fate. The Aurelian Dominion provides a powerful force to push against, creating tension between freedom and order. Players are encouraged to forge their own pirate legend, whether as rebels, mercenaries, or self-made kings of the sea. Morality is fluid, loyalty is earned, and the sea shows no mercy. Every island holds a secret, every rival ship could be the last thing you see, and every decision has the power to turn the tide.

Description

A narrow, iron-grated landing zone carved into the rocky shore, Bastion’s Reach Beach is less beach and more battlement. Massive chain pylons rise from the surf, anchoring the Dominion's sea gates that control access to the harbor beyond. The sand is dark and coarse, reinforced with timber and steel plates to resist erosion—and invasion. Watchtowers loom overhead, their cannons fixed toward the sea, and patrols march in tight formation along the beach’s edge. Every ship that lands here is scanned, logged, and, if needed, boarded. There’s no welcome party—only procedure and suspicion. Signs posted in multiple languages warn: *Unauthorized entry is punishable by death*. The beach is the Dominion’s leash on the outer seas, and they keep it taut.

Appearance

The beach is dominated by iron grates and massive chain pylons, with watchtowers casting long shadows over the dark sand. The atmosphere is tense, filled with the sounds of marching boots and the distant crash of waves against the rocky shore.
