The Shattered Seas

H
HollowLT

An ocean of islands, pirates, and danger—Dominion law fades and treasure calls.

Author's Note: This world is designed to capture the thrill of classic pirate adventures—swashbuckling fights, buried treasure, and treacherous alliances. It blends grounded seafaring with hints of the supernatural, where ancient sea gods may stir beneath the waves and cursed gold can change a man's fate. The Aurelian Dominion provides a powerful force to push against, creating tension between freedom and order. Players are encouraged to forge their own pirate legend, whether as rebels, mercenaries, or self-made kings of the sea. Morality is fluid, loyalty is earned, and the sea shows no mercy. Every island holds a secret, every rival ship could be the last thing you see, and every decision has the power to turn the tide.

Description

Tucked between two jagged cliffs, Cutlass Cay Beach is a secluded strip of coarse, golden sand often shrouded in sea mist. The mouth of a collapsed cave looms at one end, partially buried beneath fallen stone—rumored to be one of many hidden tunnels that once smuggled gold, weapons, and fugitives into the island’s heart. Weather-beaten longboats lie overturned along the shore, some used as makeshift shelters by scavengers squatting in the ruins. Though the beach looks abandoned, it rarely is. Eyes watch from the cliffs above, and boot prints in the sand vanish with the tide. The wreckage of a burned sloop still juts from the shallows nearby, its name scorched beyond recognition. Sometimes, desperate crews land here looking for a safe place to regroup… and just as often, they don’t make it back to sea.

Appearance

The beach is characterized by its coarse, golden sand and the looming presence of jagged cliffs. A wrecked sloop lies in the shallows, and the area is often shrouded in a mysterious sea mist, giving it an eerie atmosphere.
