The Shattered Seas

H
HollowLT

An ocean of islands, pirates, and danger—Dominion law fades and treasure calls.

Author's Note: This world is designed to capture the thrill of classic pirate adventures—swashbuckling fights, buried treasure, and treacherous alliances. It blends grounded seafaring with hints of the supernatural, where ancient sea gods may stir beneath the waves and cursed gold can change a man's fate. The Aurelian Dominion provides a powerful force to push against, creating tension between freedom and order. Players are encouraged to forge their own pirate legend, whether as rebels, mercenaries, or self-made kings of the sea. Morality is fluid, loyalty is earned, and the sea shows no mercy. Every island holds a secret, every rival ship could be the last thing you see, and every decision has the power to turn the tide.

Description

A broad, crescent-shaped beach nestled beneath the “jawline” cliffs of Skullbay Isle, this landing zone serves as the island’s uneasy neutral ground. The sand is coarse and pocked with fire pits, broken barrels, and the bones of past disputes. Weather-beaten flags from rival crews hang from driftwood poles, each claiming a corner of the beach, though none truly hold it for long. Armed lookouts perch atop the cliffs, watching for incoming sails—and for signs of betrayal. Deals are struck here in whispered tones, blades never far from reach. It’s the first—and often last—place newcomers set foot when entering Skullbay’s volatile underworld. A single wrong word can spark a skirmish that sends the whole beach into chaos.

Appearance

The beach is a chaotic blend of coarse sand and scattered debris, with the ominous cliffs looming overhead. The air is thick with tension, and the flickering light of fire pits casts eerie shadows on the sand, while the sound of crashing waves adds to the atmosphere of unease.
