The Shattered Seas

H
HollowLT

An ocean of islands, pirates, and danger—Dominion law fades and treasure calls.

Author's Note: This world is designed to capture the thrill of classic pirate adventures—swashbuckling fights, buried treasure, and treacherous alliances. It blends grounded seafaring with hints of the supernatural, where ancient sea gods may stir beneath the waves and cursed gold can change a man's fate. The Aurelian Dominion provides a powerful force to push against, creating tension between freedom and order. Players are encouraged to forge their own pirate legend, whether as rebels, mercenaries, or self-made kings of the sea. Morality is fluid, loyalty is earned, and the sea shows no mercy. Every island holds a secret, every rival ship could be the last thing you see, and every decision has the power to turn the tide.

Description

A mysterious, nearly forgotten structure built into the side of the desert spire. The Obsidian Temple is dedicated to long-lost Solvaran deities and holds dark secrets about the city’s ancient past. Its walls are lined with obsidian, which reflects the desert sun in mesmerizing patterns. The temple is known to be a place of ancient rituals, and some locals believe it is cursed. Only the most daring or desperate adventurers seek the temple out, hoping to uncover hidden treasures or unlock forbidden knowledge.

Appearance

The temple's exterior is a striking sight, with smooth obsidian walls that shimmer and shift with the sunlight, creating an almost hypnotic effect. Inside, the air is thick with the scent of incense, and the flickering shadows cast by torches reveal ancient carvings and altars, hinting at the dark rituals once performed here.
