The Shattered Seas

H
HollowLT

An ocean of islands, pirates, and danger—Dominion law fades and treasure calls.

Author's Note: This world is designed to capture the thrill of classic pirate adventures—swashbuckling fights, buried treasure, and treacherous alliances. It blends grounded seafaring with hints of the supernatural, where ancient sea gods may stir beneath the waves and cursed gold can change a man's fate. The Aurelian Dominion provides a powerful force to push against, creating tension between freedom and order. Players are encouraged to forge their own pirate legend, whether as rebels, mercenaries, or self-made kings of the sea. Morality is fluid, loyalty is earned, and the sea shows no mercy. Every island holds a secret, every rival ship could be the last thing you see, and every decision has the power to turn the tide.

Description

The Abyssal Cradle is a massive, ancient seafloor crevasse concealed by violent maelstroms and pitch-black waters. Rumored to be the final resting place of fallen sea gods or a collapsed undersea volcano, the Cradle is now the lair of the Voidmaw Leviathan — a mythic sea creature whispered of in fearful tones by sailors across the seas. The trench walls are jagged and lined with glowing barnacles and strange abyssal growths. Massive chains of forgotten origin hang from broken pillars, possibly remnants of a failed attempt to bind the Leviathan. The water here is unnaturally still and cold despite the chaos above, and the very pressure of the deep seems to hum with a malevolent intelligence.

Appearance

The trench is dark and foreboding, with glowing barnacles illuminating the jagged walls. Massive chains dangle ominously from broken pillars, and the water is eerily still, contrasting with the chaos above.
