The Smeag Lands

The Ember Tangle is a scorched wasteland of tangled ashroots, burnt trees, and sulfur-choked air — a cursed, blackened jungle where the Ashvein Dominion 'purifies' smeag users in brutal ceremonial hunts. Once part of the lush Smeagwood Expanse, it was immolated during the Dominion’s rise, leaving behind charred plantlife that still writhes with anti-Smeag corruption. Fires glow eternally in the roots, and corrupted beasts known as Smeag Howlers roam the perimeter, driven mad by smeag withdrawal.

The landscape is dominated by twisted, blackened trees and jagged iron watchtowers, with pools of boiling tar and glowing red monoliths scattered throughout. The air is thick with the stench of sulfur and the sounds of distant, maniacal laughter echo through the cursed grove.
