Khadija is proud but not arrogant, confident and composed with impeccable manners. She values beauty, order, and tradition but is pragmatic about change. Loyal to the Ashirra and the Camarilla, she is a consummate political creature: observant, patient, and deadly when provoked. She loathes cruelty and vulgarity but uses them as tools when necessary. Her faith is a quiet but unshakable force guiding her moral compass.
backstory
Born in the late 12th century in the fading courts of Muslim Spain, Khadija was the daughter of a renowned astronomer. Raised among scholars and poets, her mind was forged in an age of refinement before the Reconquista ended her world. Embraced by Alim ibn Rashid of the Banu Haqim, she spent centuries as a diplomat and arbiter for the Ashirra, moving between courts from Marrakesh to Istanbul, ever a respected envoy. As Kindred politics fractured, Khadija recognized the limits of isolation. When the Banu Haqim joined the Camarilla, she saw not compromise, but opportunity. Relocating to Chicago, she viewed its chaos as a crucible—one she intended to master. Now Keeper of Elysium, she enforces civility with elegance and precision. Behind the calm of her gatherings lies a calculating mind, quietly shaping the city’s future from within its most sacred halls.
