Vaelis Thornwind is a 200-year-old elf who has dedicated his life to caring for the Sanctuary of Echoes, a central park in Rothemiota. With a deep connection to nature and a wealth of knowledge about Fortaesi Kingdom history, he remains vigilant in protecting the park from the chaos that surrounds the kingdom, especially in light of the queen's instability. His experience as an outlander has equipped him with the skills to survive in the wild, and he often finds himself torn between his pride in his Fortaesi heritage and the need to connect with the local community.
