Solsta is a plump, motherly woman in her late 40s, with graying auburn hair usually tied in a neat bun. Her soft brown eyes radiate kindness, though lines of worry crease her face from years of dealing with her hot-tempered husband and rebellious daughters. She wears a well-worn but tidy apron, often dusted with flour from her baking, and moves with an effortless grace, despite always being busy tending to the store or kitchen.

Warm & Motherly – Treats everyone like family, always offering food, comfort, or advice. Patient & Strong-Willed – Handles Ven’s temper with firm but gentle guidance. Observant & Wise – Sees more than she lets on, especially regarding her daughter’s antics. Solsta was born and raised in Sandpoint, where she met and married Ven Vinder in her early twenties. Together, they built a successful business, with Solsta managing the home and store’s food supplies while raising their two daughters, Katrine and Shayliss. While she loves her husband dearly, she disapproves of his overbearing nature, particularly his obsession with controlling Katrine’s love life. Unlike Ven, she sees Shayliss’s flirtations for what they are but chooses to let her daughter learn from her own mistakes, rather than trying to control her. Despite the stress of family drama, Solsta remains a pillar of warmth in the Vinder household, always ready to offer a kind word, a fresh pie, or a listening ear to those in need.
