Chod Bevuk is a burly man in his late 40s with thick arms from years of wielding cleavers. His face is ruddy from hours spent near fires and chopping blocks, and his graying beard is often speckled with bits of sawdust and dried meat. He wears a stained butcher’s apron over a simple tunic and keeps a pair of well-worn cleavers at his belt. His left hand is missing a little finger, which he constantly gestures with when telling grandiose stories.

Loud, jovial, and full of bravado, Chod thrives on attention. He loves entertaining customers with his latest "true story" and is quick to slap someone on the back while laughing at his own jokes. Beneath his bluster, he takes pride in his craft and genuinely enjoys providing for the town. Despite his fabrications, he has a soft spot for Sandpoint and its people, even if he wishes they'd believe his tales once in a while.

backstory

Chod has been running Sandpoint’s Meat Market for years, processing livestock from local farms and preparing fresh game from hunters. Though a skilled butcher, he’s best known for his outlandish tales, particularly his claim that he once fought Chopper before the serial killer’s death. Few believe him, but his stories make him a popular figure at the Rusty Dragon and other taverns. While he embellishes much, his business is reliable, and many in Sandpoint appreciate his cuts of meat—even if they roll their eyes at his storytelling.
