Gressel is an enormous, burly man with a thick beard, greasy hair, and a perpetually sour expression. His arms are as thick as tree trunks, and his stained apron is a testament to years of working behind the bar, breaking up fights, and roughing up unruly patrons. A deep scar runs down the side of his cheek, a “gift” from an old bar brawl gone wrong.
personality
Gruff and short-tempered, Gressel has no patience for nonsense and isn't above using his fists to settle disputes. While he enjoys his position, he knows better than to challenge Jubrayl’s authority. He keeps his head down, keeps the ale flowing, and lets the real criminals do their work in the shadows.
backstory
Once a dockworker in Riddleport, Gressel made his way to Sandpoint after getting in trouble with the wrong people. He set up the Fatman’s Feedbag as a place where the rougher types of Sandpoint could drink, fight, and conduct their less-than-legal business without interference. He plays the role of tavern owner well, but in reality, he’s little more than a frontman for Jubrayl Vhiski’s operations.
