Surrounded by a low stone wall and shaded by ancient oaks, it serves as the final resting place for Sandpoint’s deceased, including many victims of the “Late Unpleasantness.” Orderly rows of headstones and family mausoleums are arranged along winding gravel paths. At the center stands a modest chapel dedicated to Pharasma, the goddess of birth and death. Maintained by Father Zantus and his acolytes, the boneyard is a place of peace and remembrance, though locals occasionally whisper of strange occurrences at night, adding to its eerie, solemn atmosphere.
