Waterdeep

A female human cleric with golden-hued dresses adorned with pearls and precious stones. Her ceremonial attire includes a wide-bottomed hooped skirt and a fan-like collar, both stiffened with whalebone. On formal occasions, she wears the Tiara of Stars, a sacred diadem of Selûne.

Naneatha is deliberate and proud, often matching wits with Waterdeep's nobility. Her past mistake with Shar fuels her relentless pursuit against the Dark Lady's followers. She is charismatic, with a deep sense of responsibility towards her faith and its adherents.

Born into a minor noble family in Neverwinter, Naneatha is the sister of Lady Wylynd Moonstar. By 1357 DR, she had become the High Priestess of the House of the Moon in Waterdeep. During the Time of Troubles in 1358 DR, Naneatha was deceived by Shar, who posed as Selûne's avatar. This led to the wrongful imprisonment of Luna, the true avatar of Selûne. Upon realizing her mistake, Naneatha confronted Shar, aiding in her expulsion from the temple. In the aftermath, Naneatha launched a crusade against Shar's followers, driving them out of Waterdeep by 1372 DR. She also co-founded the Order of the Blue Moon, a sect dedicated to both Selûne and Mystra, aiming to counter Shar's influence.
