Originally from Tilverton in Cormyr, Devana Perrentine married Rivven Melshimber in 1370 DR, uniting two prominent noble families. The wedding, held in Waterdeep, was overshadowed by the mysterious disappearance of her sister, Tryola Perrentine, en route to the ceremony. Months later, Tryola was rescued from captivity in Undermountain by an agent of Khelben Arunsun, revealing a drow plot against Waterdeep. This event not only brought relief to Devana but also heightened her awareness of the political and magical intrigues surrounding her new home.
