Raised in the cultured environment of House Roaringhorn, Theln embodies refinement without succumbing to pampering. His travels have instilled in him a forthright and kindly demeanor. He offers healing services to fellow travelers, asking only for shared company and the warmth of a campfire in return.

Born into the noble Roaringhorn family of Waterdeep, Theln chose a path of spiritual service over aristocratic comfort. As a devoted cleric of Lathander, he journeyed across the Realms, spreading the Morninglord's teachings. In the winter of 1357 DR, Theln was present in Soubar along the Trade Way when he and fellow faithful witnessed a manifestation of Lathander. The deity imparted a prophecy concerning the 'Hidden One,' a prideful entity whose actions would precipitate the gods' descent to Faerûn. During the Time of Troubles in 1358 DR, Theln found himself in the Dragon Reach region. There, he encountered a group of adventurers seeking the Tablets of Fate and directed them to the Spouting Fish, a discreet inn in Zhentilar-occupied Scardale Town.
