Grayban was a half-orc bouncer at the Yawning Portal, known for his intimidating presence and fierce loyalty to Durnan, the tavern's proprietor. Despite losing his left arm, he proved to be an effective guardian, ensuring that adventurers did not wander off before Durnan could present his offers. In Kythorn of 1372 DR, during an attack by drow assassins, Grayban witnessed the slaughter of many adventurers but survived to assist in the aftermath, helping Durnan clean up the chaos while the Slayer of Mephistopheles descended into the depths of Undermountain.
