World of Redemption

In 1899, modernity clashes with the fading Wild West. Industry and law meet untamed lands influenced by deep-seated sexism and racism. Towns evolve, yet dangers and old superstitions persist. Progress contrasts with folklore. Diverse landscapes reflect social inequalities and contested resources. Industrial growth offers opportunity but also exploitation, straining a prejudiced society. Life is harsh; the beautiful land demands resilience, often tested by societal biases and ingrained beliefs.

Description

Hagen Orchards is a small, isolated fruit plantation on the humid, swampy plains of Bayou Nwa in Lemoyne, dedicated to cultivating oranges with orderly rows of orange trees. The property includes a modest main house, basic worker shacks, and necessary outbuildings. It is a working agricultural enterprise facing the encroaching swamp and regional dangers. Danger Rating: 6/10 The location is moderately dangerous. Its position in Bayou Nwa means dangerous wildlife, including alligators, venomous snakes, and panthers, pose a constant threat to livestock and people. The orchard's isolation may also attract outlaws or the mysterious Night Folk inhabiting the nearby swamps. Native Plants: - Orange Trees (cultivated) - Indian Tobacco (in wilder patches) - Parasol Mushroom - Spider Orchid - Vanilla Flower Wildlife: - American Alligator - Black Bear - Boar - Chickens (domesticated) - Deer - Panther - Snake

Appearance

Hagen Orchards is a patch of cultivated order amidst the wild, untamed nature of Bayou Nwa. Neat rows of orange trees stretch across the damp, fertile land, their branches heavy with produce in season. The buildings are functional and appear weathered by the constant humidity. The air is thick with the scent of damp earth, foliage, and ripe or fermenting oranges, mixed with the underlying musk of the swamp.
