World of Redemption

In 1899, modernity clashes with the fading Wild West. Industry and law meet untamed lands influenced by deep-seated sexism and racism. Towns evolve, yet dangers and old superstitions persist. Progress contrasts with folklore. Diverse landscapes reflect social inequalities and contested resources. Industrial growth offers opportunity but also exploitation, straining a prejudiced society. Life is harsh; the beautiful land demands resilience, often tested by societal biases and ingrained beliefs.

Description

Limpany is the tragic, burnt-out ruin of a small town, once a fledgling settlement, now reduced to charred foundations and skeletal remains. Nature is slowly reclaiming the land, but the area remains a grim testament to its unfortunate fate. Danger Rating: 3/10 The primary dangers in Limpany are environmental. Wildlife from the surrounding plains may also wander through the ruins. Native Plants: - Golden Currant - Indian Tobacco - Milkweed - Yarrow Wildlife (passing through or scavenging): - Coyote - Deer - Snake - Wolf

Appearance

Limpany is a bleak sight. The ground is a mix of blackened earth and encroaching grass. Burnt wooden frames of buildings stand as grim silhouettes against the sky. One two-story structure still shows the faint lettering "LIQUOR" on its facade. Other buildings are reduced to collapsed timbers and stone foundations. A few dead trees stand among the ruins, and the air carries a lingering smell of smoke and ash. The atmosphere conveys profound loss and desolation.
