World of Redemption

In 1899, modernity clashes with the fading Wild West. Industry and law meet untamed lands influenced by deep-seated sexism and racism. Towns evolve, yet dangers and old superstitions persist. Progress contrasts with folklore. Diverse landscapes reflect social inequalities and contested resources. Industrial growth offers opportunity but also exploitation, straining a prejudiced society. Life is harsh; the beautiful land demands resilience, often tested by societal biases and ingrained beliefs.

Description

This notable site in the Roanoke Ridge region of New Hanover is a distinct impact crater, evidence of a celestial object striking the earth. The location is characterized by a significant depression in the ground and the presence of meteorite fragments within and around the crater, making it a remarkable and unusual natural landmark.

Appearance

The site is identifiable by a bowl-shaped depression with raised, disturbed, and possibly scorched soil forming its rim. The uneven ground within the crater contains smaller rocks and debris from the impact, with dark, metallic meteorite fragments found at the center or embedded within the crater, surrounded by a dense forest that adds to its isolated feel.
