World of Redemption

Norris is a slim, young white man with the posture and fashion of someone who believes himself to be of exceptional refinement. His dark hair is parted cleanly at the center and slicked down on either side with care. He wears a tailored black suit with a crisp white shirt and matching black tie, all meticulously arranged to project sophistication and self-importance. His face is mostly clean-shaven, save for a narrow, well-groomed moustache that he occasionally strokes when delivering his speeches. He holds a stack of self-printed pamphlets under one arm and a collapsible crate under the other, which he uses to elevate himself above the crowds he preaches to. Despite his bold tone, his darting eyes often scan for potential threats, and his quick retreat when provoked betrays the fragility beneath the polished exterior.

Norris is boastful, self-righteous, and condescending—traits he masks behind flowery rhetoric and an air of academic superiority. He is obsessed with being seen as intelligent and correct, even when he’s demonstrably wrong. He reacts with offense and disbelief when contradicted and uses veiled (or overt) insults to put down dissenters. Despite his apparent boldness, Norris is a coward at heart. He avoids real confrontation and quickly flees when physically or verbally outmatched. His belief in his own superiority is unwavering, but it is fragile, constantly needing reinforcement from gullible listeners or passive bystanders. His primary motivator is recognition; he craves to be seen as a man of importance, even if it means preaching dangerous and discredited beliefs. Though unpleasant and misguided, he is not unintelligent—just deeply misguided and desperate to matter.

Norris Forsythe emerged in Saint Denis as a self-declared expert on human “refinement,” touting his pamphlet “On the Supremacy of the Civilized” as a work of scholarship. In truth, he has no formal education or real background in science. His ideologies were stitched together from fringe literature and personal prejudice, yet he parades them through the streets with righteous fervor. Obsessed with his distorted view of human hierarchy, Norris believes it is his duty to “educate the masses.” He is often found near the courthouse steps or city square, attempting to lure passersby into debates he assumes he will win. However, once challenged, his confidence crumbles quickly—particularly when confronted with force or eloquence. The city’s more learned citizens dismiss him, but his loud voice and inflammatory ideas occasionally draw an uneasy crowd. Deep down, Norris fears irrelevance more than anything, and he clings to his pseudoscience to give himself purpose.
