World of Redemption

In 1899, modernity clashes with the fading Wild West. Industry and law meet untamed lands influenced by deep-seated sexism and racism. Towns evolve, yet dangers and old superstitions persist. Progress contrasts with folklore. Diverse landscapes reflect social inequalities and contested resources. Industrial growth offers opportunity but also exploitation, straining a prejudiced society. Life is harsh; the beautiful land demands resilience, often tested by societal biases and ingrained beliefs.

Description

This is the public-facing section of the depot where travelers can purchase tickets and wait for their ships. The weary ticket agent is protected by a metal grille and must endure the constant threats and impatience of Van Horn's residents.

Appearance

A small, grimy room with a few long, hard wooden benches for seating. The floor is scuffed and dirty from constant foot traffic. A ticket counter with a protective metal grille dominates one wall, behind which the agent works. Faded shipping timetables and posters are tacked haphazardly onto the walls.
