World of Redemption

In 1899, modernity clashes with the fading Wild West. Industry and law meet untamed lands influenced by deep-seated sexism and racism. Towns evolve, yet dangers and old superstitions persist. Progress contrasts with folklore. Diverse landscapes reflect social inequalities and contested resources. Industrial growth offers opportunity but also exploitation, straining a prejudiced society. Life is harsh; the beautiful land demands resilience, often tested by societal biases and ingrained beliefs.

Description

This dilapidated shack stands as a testament to neglect, with no doors and windows stripped bare of glass. The roof is riddled with holes, allowing the elements to invade, while a broken-down fence surrounds the property, hinting at past violence or a fierce storm. An outhouse leans precariously beside the main structure, and a stack of lumber lies nearby, suggesting remnants of a once-busy workshop. A hitching post outside the fence occasionally hosts a horse, despite the shack's abandonment. When Marston approaches, he often mutters, 'There must be someone there,' a phrase that seems to hold no significance but echoes through various locations.

Appearance

The shack is weathered and worn, with splintered wood and a sagging roof. The surrounding area is overgrown, with weeds creeping through the broken fence and wildflowers blooming in the cracks.
