World of Redemption

In 1899, modernity clashes with the fading Wild West. Industry and law meet untamed lands influenced by deep-seated sexism and racism. Towns evolve, yet dangers and old superstitions persist. Progress contrasts with folklore. Diverse landscapes reflect social inequalities and contested resources. Industrial growth offers opportunity but also exploitation, straining a prejudiced society. Life is harsh; the beautiful land demands resilience, often tested by societal biases and ingrained beliefs.

Description

Coot's Chapel is an abandoned Christian chapel located in the desolate Cholla Springs region of New Austin. Once a place of worship, it now serves as a grim site for cremating the bodies of cholera victims. The chapel is rundown, with cracked windows, crumbling walls, and worn-out seats. Its graveyard holds the remains of the MacFarlane Brothers, Priscilla Johnson, and other locals, surrounded by broken stone walls and rusted iron fencing. A lifeless tree stands in the center of the graveyard, amidst scattered debris, while the area around the chapel is littered with the remnants of ruined houses, leaving only brick foundations behind.

Appearance

The chapel is small and isolated, with a haunting atmosphere. The walls are crumbling, and the air is thick with the scent of decay. The graveyard is eerily quiet, with a lifeless tree at its center and rusted iron fencing barely holding its ground.
