World of Redemption

In 1899, modernity clashes with the fading Wild West. Industry and law meet untamed lands influenced by deep-seated sexism and racism. Towns evolve, yet dangers and old superstitions persist. Progress contrasts with folklore. Diverse landscapes reflect social inequalities and contested resources. Industrial growth offers opportunity but also exploitation, straining a prejudiced society. Life is harsh; the beautiful land demands resilience, often tested by societal biases and ingrained beliefs.

Description

The jail's two small, secure cells at the rear of the main building are usually sufficient for the town's needs but can be overwhelmed during trouble. The cells are stark, with rough stone walls, heavy iron bars, and minimal furnishings.

Appearance

Floor is cold, hard-packed dirt or rough stone. Each cell has a simple wooden plank cot built into the wall and a waste bucket. The back and side walls are rough stone from the hill, fronts are heavy iron bars with heavy-duty locks. Dimly lit by a single high barred window, the air is cold, damp, stagnant, and oppressive.
