World of Redemption

H

In 1899, modernity clashes with the fading Wild West. Industry and law meet untamed lands influenced by deep-seated sexism and racism. Towns evolve, yet dangers and old superstitions persist. Progress contrasts with folklore. Diverse landscapes reflect social inequalities and contested resources. Industrial growth offers opportunity but also exploitation, straining a prejudiced society. Life is harsh; the beautiful land demands resilience, often tested by societal biases and ingrained beliefs.

Description

This cool, subterranean space serves as a storage cellar for provisions and cleverly conceals the entrance to the illicit parts of the operation. Constructed with rough wooden plank walls and a sturdy plank floor, the room features exposed wooden ceiling beams from which cured meats hang. Shelves stocked with preserved goods in jars, cans, and bottles line one wall, while barrels and crates likely containing root vegetables are scattered throughout. A simple wooden bench sits against one wall, and a hidden door disguised as a set of shelves provides secret access to the Speakeasy and Stillroom.

Appearance

Dimly lit by a single lantern or light from the hidden doorway, the basement casts long shadows across the stored goods. It has a cool, earthy smell mixed with the aroma of cured meats and preserved foods, creating an atmosphere of secrecy beneath its functional facade.
