World of Redemption

H

In 1899, modernity clashes with the fading Wild West. Industry and law meet untamed lands influenced by deep-seated sexism and racism. Towns evolve, yet dangers and old superstitions persist. Progress contrasts with folklore. Diverse landscapes reflect social inequalities and contested resources. Industrial growth offers opportunity but also exploitation, straining a prejudiced society. Life is harsh; the beautiful land demands resilience, often tested by societal biases and ingrained beliefs.

Description

The public heart of the bank where all official business is conducted, designed to impress and intimidate with a formal and tense atmosphere. The room is filled with the quiet rustle of paper, soft clink of coins, and watchful bank guards, serving as the gatehouse to the wealth of the West.

Appearance

Spacious room with a high ceiling and gas-lit chandeliers. Large barred windows let in daylight, reflecting off polished black and white marble floor tiles. Dark mahogany benches line the walls, a massive mahogany teller counter with green marble top dominates the room, and a large ornate black cast-iron radiator hisses quietly. Walls are cream plaster with dark carved wood wainscoting, no decorations, and a small writing desk near the entrance holds deposit slips, withdrawal forms, a brass inkwell, and pens. A large board displays official notices and interest rates.
