Description
A private, sterile room at the back of the building where the undertaker prepares the deceased for burial with utmost care and respect. Functional and clinical, hidden from public view and accessible only to the undertaker.
Appearance
Windowless, utilitarian, and clinical room lit by bright overhead gas lamps. Central porcelain embalming table with a drain, stainless steel tray with embalming tools, tiled floor with central drain, single wooden stool, tiled walls halfway up with sterile white paint above, large sink, locked cabinets for chemicals, and a strong antiseptic smell of formaldehyde.
