World of Redemption

In 1899, modernity clashes with the fading Wild West. Industry and law meet untamed lands influenced by deep-seated sexism and racism. Towns evolve, yet dangers and old superstitions persist. Progress contrasts with folklore. Diverse landscapes reflect social inequalities and contested resources. Industrial growth offers opportunity but also exploitation, straining a prejudiced society. Life is harsh; the beautiful land demands resilience, often tested by societal biases and ingrained beliefs.

Description

The central living space of the Hughes family, serving as their kitchen, living quarters, and sickroom. It is a small, tidy room filled with signs of poverty but also quiet love and care, especially focused on the younger daughter, Marri.

Appearance

A small, cluttered but tidy room with a large stone fireplace on the far wall, two simple cots against one wall, a handmade dining table with two mismatched chairs, and a small cupboard. The air smells of woodsmoke, medicinal herbs, and sickness.
