World of Redemption

In 1899, modernity clashes with the fading Wild West. Industry and law meet untamed lands influenced by deep-seated sexism and racism. Towns evolve, yet dangers and old superstitions persist. Progress contrasts with folklore. Diverse landscapes reflect social inequalities and contested resources. Industrial growth offers opportunity but also exploitation, straining a prejudiced society. Life is harsh; the beautiful land demands resilience, often tested by societal biases and ingrained beliefs.

Description

A cavernous, loud, and dangerous factory floor where raw cotton is processed using gins, carding machines, and looms powered by belts and pulleys connected to a main drive shaft. The air is thick with cotton dust and noise is deafening.

Appearance

Rows of massive, clattering machines dominate the space, connected by a dizzying web of leather belts spinning from overhead shafts. Airborne cotton fibers coat every surface in a fine white dust, catching light from grimy windows. The floor is oiled, stained wooden planks vibrating constantly from machinery. Bare timber walls with small, dirty windows high up offer little view. Large wheeled baskets transport raw cotton and finished cloth. The overwhelming smell is of machine oil and raw cotton dust.
