Copperhead Landing is a somber location steeped in the echoes of a once fierce battle. The area is characterized by an oppressive swamp ambiance, where the humidity seeps into every crevice, and the stench of decay lingers. It was here that the 3rd Lemoyne Regiment made their last stand against Union forces, desperately trying to defend against cannon fire that rained down upon them from the opposite bank. Despite their struggles and the dire conditions, a handful of survivors managed to slip away from the carnage, forever haunted by their memories of survival amidst a tragedy.
Fog-enshrouded jetty extending into the murky waters of the Lannahechee River, with remnants of artillery scattered along the banks, swaying mangroves framing a backdrop of a crumbling wooden outpost, under a heavy, overcast sky.
