Description

The Jubokko is a fearsome tree-like creature that absorbs the essence of its victims to sustain itself, making it a dreadful foe for adventurers who venture too close to the enchanted forests. Its bark is gnarled and twisted, with leaves that shimmer with an unnatural hue, and its trunk is adorned with faces that whisper eerie tales of despair and hunger. The Jubokko can lure those who wander into its domain, promising refuge and beauty before ensnaring them with its voracious roots.

Entangling Roots

The Jubokko targets one creature it can see within 30 feet of it. The target must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be restrained by roots that sprout from the ground. A creature restrained by the roots can use its action to make a Strength check against the Jubokko's spell save DC, freeing itself on a success.

Life Drain

The Jubokko makes one attack with its vine-like branches, dealing 2d8 + 4 slashing damage. If it hits, it regains hit points equal to half the damage dealt.

Nourish the Soil

The Jubokko can spend one minute resting in a concentrated area to despoil the land. For the next hour, all plant life in a 30-foot radius withers and dies, and the area becomes difficult terrain.
