Description

The Missionary of Darkness is a chilling figure, a wraith-like servant of the fallen denigod Yaksha, who embodies the despair and vengeance of those forgotten. Cloaked in tattered robes that seem to merge with shadows, their presence fills the air with a palpable sense of dread. As a conduit of oblivion, they are compelled to fulfill their dark master's vengeful will, targeting the descendants of those who wronged Yaksha.

Actions

Ethereal Shift

The Missionary can shift briefly into the Ethereal Plane, becoming incorporeal for 1 round. During this time, it is immune to all damage and effects, able to move through objects and creatures as if they were difficult terrain.

Oblivion's Call

The Missionary invokes the dark power of Yaksha, forcing all creatures within a 30-foot radius to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 16). On a failed save, a creature takes 4d10 psychic damage and is frightened until the end of its next turn.

Shadow Grasp

The Missionary can reach out with tendrils of darkness, making a melee spell attack against a target within 15 feet. On a hit, the target takes 3d8 necrotic damage, and their speed is reduced by half until the end of their next turn.
