After losing her left hand to a kraken during a fateful sea battle, she had a bronze prosthetic forged, known as the Kraken's Fist, which conceals a hidden dagger spring. Now, she owns and runs The Rusty Anchor Tavern, serving as a steadfast guardian and first point of contact for newcomers in the mist-shrouded town. Haunted by the loss of her brother, who vanished in the cursed lighthouse, Marla is fiercely loyal to Zuarezport and its people, offering shelter, local knowledge, and support to those who prove their courage. She is bold, honest, and unshakeable, with no patience for cowardice or deceit, and she keeps a shotgun crossbow under the bar for protection.
